Hello…

We’re a team of media specialists who live and work on the East Coast of the UK. Between us there’s a wealth of experience in journalism, photography, videography, publishing, marketing, partnerships and public relations… and when we’re not flexing our professional muscles we’ll be exploring the coastline, rivers and estuaries of the East Coast and beyond.

Gill Bendall is a freelance journalist with 40-plus years’ experience in newspapers and magazines and an extensive portfolio of work as a writer, editor, publisher, public relations manager and marketer. Gill bought her first boat even though she’d never sailed before and knew nothing about knots, tides and navigation – and now she’s RYA-qualified as a Day Skipper, studying for her Offshore exams and holds VHF and First Aid certificates.

Tim Sandall is a full-time professional photographer with more than 40 years’ experience in the publishing, advertising and promotional industry. Well known for his award-wining work with the Royal Horticultural Society, his client list also includes book publishers, global charities and the owners of some of the UK’s loveliest stately homes. A former RYA dinghy instructor and competitive racer, Tim’s never happier than at the helm of his yacht, where his camera is always to hand.

Alex Crawley has worked as a digital marketer, social media and account manager with clients including Harley-Davidson, Jeep and recording artist Sigala. After honing his skills as a photographer, video producer and editor, Alex worked as a celebrity and news photographer for the Metro newspaper before embarking on a new career on the water. He’s an RYA-qualified Offshore skipper with additional MCA tickets in First Aid, Fire Fighting, Sea Survival and Marine Engineering.

All three of us work with a full deck of Mac desktops, laptops and tablets plus a collection of Nikon and Canon cameras, and are proficient with writing, editing and publishing software including Word, Photoshop, InDesign and LightRoom.

We’re open for business whether on land or water, and we’d love to hear from you
